Hi. Welcome to my site.
Robby Robin is my alter ego for my blog, my first “literary” character! His journey is a metaphor for my own journey through the world of retirement and grandparenthood. In everyday life I’m known as Jane Fritz. I am a fairly recent re-retiree living in Atlantic Canada, enjoying the freedom to pursue some of my interests in more depth than was possible while working. In this blog I hope to share some things I have learned through exploring activities with a vengence starting in my mid-60s (like long distance running and writing for my grandchildren). Various other topics will inevitably pop up, in keeping with a lifetime of experiences, such as: encouraging entrepreneurship (resulting from my work in the IT industry and regional economic development); travel (we’ve been lucky that way); farming exploits (we spent 9 of our early married years living on a farm as transplanted urbanites); quilting; and thoughts on life as they emerge. Sorry, it’s not too focused, is it?! I enjoy learning from others in the blogging community.
