Sharing more food for thought from social media posts on how to live our lives. Can you tell which ones are serious and which ones not so much so?! For those of you not ready to relate to the aging quotes, perhaps you’ll be reminded of them at some point down the road and say to yourself, “Oh, now I get it!”

I’m smiling Jane thank you. 😊
The last one would have to be my pick – being at the more mature end of the spectrum!
But the 1st one is very me 😆

Re the last one, earlier my husband wondered out loud how much sand he had left in his timer. It took me several seconds to realize he was reading this post and looking at the last image! I love that image of sand going through an “hour” glass.

Funny, and profound. I love them! I’m curious, would it be better to know how many grains of sand one has in one’s “hourglass” or not to know?

Lol. Good question. Common advice is to live each day as if it were your last, but I think that’s more to encourage growth and sense of purpose than to scare us!

Oh, nice. I, too, am smiling, and I particularly like the Madeleine L’Engle quotation.

I love that one, too. It’s something I don’t hear people talking about, and it’s so true. When you’re 70, you’re still 16. You’re still 25, you’re still 45. You’re not just suddenly this person who’s 70. You’re all your experiences, friendships, and memories building on each other. Maybe that’s just not something you can think about and appreciate until you’re older.

Some of these made me laugh out loud. Others had me shaking my head in agreement. Others I have DONE … like opening my mouth & speaking before thinking. I love them all. Ingrid Bergman may be my favorite because it is so true. A fun post that makes you say, “Ahhh … yes,” as you’re reading it.

That last one is so true. I feel it already and I’m only 63 but perhaps it’s that they are only little for such a short time period.

It’s the contrast, isn’t it, Bernie? And you’re right, the time we have with little ones is fleeting and, oh, so precious.

I feel so blessed that we live near each other and see them often. Not everyone is that lucky.

You’re right, and don’t forget it. We’ve always been lucky to see ours once or twice a year. But that doesn’t diminish the strength of the relationship. ❤️

I absolutely love the Ingrid Bergman one. For years I’ve repeated the oft-used one from Art Linkletter, but this is a good one to finally take its place in my arsenal. 🙂 – Marty

Some great quotes here – The universe isn’t interested in your achievements…
But I like the Madeleine l’Engle one best.

It’s right up there for me, too. It’s so true, but I’m not sure that reality hits home until you’ve covered enough decades for it to be meaningful. Something for young’uns to look forward to! 😂😏
