LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: I am extremely grateful that I get to live on the traditional territory of the Wolastoqiyik (Malisset) and Mi’Kmaq Peoples. I acknowledge the damage and injustice that has been done to First Nations Peoples by settlers and that still needs to be addressed and corrected. I promise to revere this land that I live, play and create on; to treat its resources with respect; and to support Indigenous business and cultural initiatives whenever and wherever possible.

I “liked” the post but certainly don’t like the picture, especially the people in the background totally ignoring this magnificent animal.

I know. It sort of speaks to the world’s complacency about all that we do. Even simple littering; some people drop things along our trails and sidewalks (or onto our front lawn) without thinking about it. Nothing’s a big deal … until it is. 😥

Please Jane. I was spitting vulgarity when I saw police officials throw litter out their moving van.

OMG. On the other hand, probably a good thing you weren’t able to share your thoughts with them directly! 😏

Thanks for reminding us. We live amongst fishermen. Our friend told us yesterday thst his crew was surprised when they caught a microwave oven in their nets.

A microwave, OMG! That would be another telling image, wouldn’t it! Thanks for sharing, Sally.
